A Love Story Unfolding in Every Frame: Kent Maternity and Newborn Photography

I cant quite believe that it is 2024 and I just realised that I did not blog at all during 2023! I am clearly not the worlds best blogger (understatement!) but in my defence my studio is always super busy and if it is a choice between blogging or working on my clients images and/or completing a clients job; I will always choose the client and give the best service I can. I will try and do better this year and have so many great shoots to blog from 2023 and so many booked in for 2024 so there will be no shortage of content.

In terms of 2024 it is getting off to a good start. The studio is busy and the diary for March, April and May are filling up with all those Spring babies, I am thrilled that many of the parents booking in for Spring are also choosing to do maternity shoots, I think its so important to capture this important time. In all the years of running my studio Spring is always the busiest time for newborn shoots and ‘Spring babies’ does seem to be a thing.

I wanted to start this year with this gorgeous couple that visited me in 2023 and its fair to say that with my shoots its not just about the mom-to-be; it's also about the couple as a unit, embarking on this incredible journey together. Through intimate and heartwarming poses, I aim to freeze in time the shared glances, the gentle caresses, and the unspoken promises that bind the couple as they eagerly await the new chapter unfolding in their lives. I aim to create timeless images that reflect the joy and anticipation of this special time.

If we can, I try and link the maternity and they newborn shoot though clothing and the colour palette to bring though a consistent flow through the images and so that clients can create coordinated wall art for their homes. I work closely with each client to understand their vision, preferences, and style. in order to create a personalised maternity and newborn experience that reflects the essence of each family's journey. As you can see I love it when they bring their fur babies too and include them as part of their session. I have kept this blog about the couple and their journey but of course there are loads of gorgeous newborn portraits too.

Client Review

I wanted to include this client review as part of this blog so you can not only see the gorgeous images but you can hear a little about their experience.

We had the pleasure of using Sue to do our Maternity and Newborn photos, after finding her at the Excel baby show and im so glad we did! Sue is talented, patient, calm and soo friendly! The whole experience was a delight, we felt comfortable with her handling our newborn and she even made us tea while we watched her create her magic! The end result is amazing, we are over the moon with the precious memories she has captured for us. We would highly recommend to anyone and will certainly be going back for future milestones. Thank you Sue! Xx
