Photo Shoot in Lavender Fields / Castle Farm / Kent
It's a bit of a grey and bleak day out there so I thought I would blog some lovely pictures from a shoot in our local lavender fields on a glorious summer evening. These are taken at Castle Farm and the shoots take place in the evenings, you get the whole field to yourself for your shoot. Its a lovely way to spend an evening and it's very easy to social distance.
These two beautiful girls, Charlotte and Ellie have been coming to me for years. They are very local to the fields so these are extra special pictures for their family.
Looking forward to doing loads of shoots there over the summer.
Should I have a location family photoshoot in the Kent lavender fields?
Location or lavender shoots are wonderful and always feel natural and look wonderful. I do less location shooting as one does have to bear in mind the British weather, it can be a lot of flexibility.
Usually with my local lavender fields they open up the bookings and one needs to book slots or evenings in advance. The are easy to get to for all of those living in Beckenham, Bromley and Orpington as well as those down the A21 in Sevenoads, Tonbridge and Tonbridge Wells. We are all blessed that those within easy reach of the M25 in other areas such as Surrey, greater London and Essex can get here too.
They are wonderful shoots and one can include props and pets if you like.
This is a great way to capture a family moment in a beautiful location setting.

These are generally fairly short sessions and can be 15 - 30 minutes depending on the size of your family and the type of shoot you are hoping for.
