It's a bit of a grey and bleak day out there so I thought I would blog some lovely pictures from a shoot in our local lavender fields on a glorious summer evening. These are taken at Castle Farm and the shoots take place in the evenings, you get the whole field to yourself for your shoot. Its a lovely way to spend an evening and it's very easy to social distance.

These two beautiful girls, Charlotte and Ellie have been coming to me for years. They are very local to the fields so these are extra special pictures for their family.

Looking forward to doing loads of shoots there over the summer.

I know that for many of you out there knowing that studios are closed and that you cannot bring your babies in for their newborn shoots in the first 2-3 weeks is very upsetting: it is for me too! I thought I would do a little post to reassure you that I can get gorgeous pictures of your babies at all ages. This gorgeous little Ayla was 7 weeks and came to me after the first lockdown. I love the images we got from her shoot.

It is a blessing for me to be able to meet babies as newborns and then see them as they grow up and watch the family grow. This yummy mummy and and her gorgeous family came to me last year and we got some cracking shots.

The colour palette and shots that the family chose were neutral, tasetful and simple which gives a timeless feel to the images captured. I look forward to seeing these gorgeous girls again in the future.

Oh my word, 2020 was the craziest year ever and so much has changed in such a short time. Last year this time Covid was hardly a blip on the horizon and today we are back in lockdown with my little studio once again closed, something inconceivable a year ago. I do hope that there is an end to this madness as I truly miss 'my' babies and the wonderful clients my business seems to attract.

Newborn photography is an art that has become more popular over the last few years. It's not hard to see why: after all, who doesn't love looking at your now newborn tiny baby in amazing poses with fabulous props? If you're considering hiring a photographer for your newborn photos, there are some things you should keep in mind before making your decision.

I was once again blessed to have this fabulous family return not only for Lily's newborn portraits but also for a Christmas shoot and her first year cake smash photographs. You can see from the photographs that she, like her brother Dontae had a great time at her cake smash and we got some wonderful results. I look forward to seeing them again before Christmas.

Amira, Zahara's big sister came to me for her newborn and 1st year birthday cake smash shoot and I was delighted to see what a lovely, kind, sweet and gorgeous big sister she had become. Here are a few images from their shoot.
